The dumpster fire that was 2020 has now become 2021: the pandemic is still here, tens of thousands of people dying every day, vaccines are still out of reach for many. And on January 6 we saw the capitol stormed by thugs. Not much changed.
On January 20, Joe Biden became the 46th president of the United States. Like every other presidential transition before it, you will wake up today, go about your life, and not much will be different; you will experience today as you experienced it yesterday and the day before.
What makes the difference between one year and the next, one day and the next is:
- How you love yourself
- How you love your neighbor
- How you love the earth
This is where change starts. Don’t put the burden on a magic day, a political savior, or a major event. The burden is on each one of us to make the world the place we want it to be.
